Long Live McQeen.

I still remember the first time i laid eyes on McQueen's wondrously delicious wearable art! I was 16 years old, and had been forced by my Art teacher to find an artist that i liked. Having nil interest in any sort of painting at this point, and having been bared from doing any more work on photographers i decided to branch out and search my future passion, Fashion designers. Straight away i was drawn to a young English designer, Alexander McQueen. With his delightful ethereal feel, i fell in love with his costume style big and bold and beautiful dresses.
This dress is the reason i am now studying fashion design, and completely obsessed with fashion.

To know that i shall never again be shocked, appalled, delighted, brought to my knees by a McQueen show saddens me. I shall never have the chance to watch him work, never learn under his hand, and never walk up to him at a party and admit my un-worthiness. I predict his work to live on in museum's and gallery's world wide for a very very long time, he defined a very big part of 20th century fashion.

The december girl

Ok, so tomorrow is new years eve, so now's the time to pick my last style girl of the year. The other day i was forced to watch my first ever episode of gossip girl, while completely bored with the plot and majority of characters, i found myself completely smitten with the peroxided waif that is Jenny Humphrey, aka Taylor Momsen. This 16 year old starlet is just delightful with her dark eyebrows and big red lips, i don't advocate her skinny stature, but that's a whole different debate. As far as I'm concerned she is a straight up style fox, and this little lady can only get better, right?

So in an age where our media is plasted with 16 year old's as the ideal norm, how freek'n refreshing is it to be hit with this ad by j'adore, with the devastatingly Delicious, and 34 year old, Charlize Theron!

Perfect is not a word i would usually use when talking about beauty and style, but this damsel is just that. I'm not sure if i want to be her or be with her(and Stuart Townsend in a harmonious love triangle.)

If it's not worn it's just going to sit in a cupboard gathering dust, i don't advocate the making of new fur's, but in order to honour and respect the animals responsible for the fur, the clothing already made should be utilised.
