If it's not worn it's just going to sit in a cupboard gathering dust, i don't advocate the making of new fur's, but in order to honour and respect the animals responsible for the fur, the clothing already made should be utilised. Things I may do this summer................

Take photos of the muses and the other ridiculously dressed creatures wandering the alleyways, drinking on the rooftops and sprawled across the grasses of melbourne town.

Watch all marilyn films and read arthur millers plays.

Pretend to be in a Jim Jarmusch film 70 percent of the time.

Dye my hair White and my eyebrows Black, so freek'n sexy.


Travel in style, or at least buy more vintage bags and or cars.

Screw summer clothes, keep the tights and boots going for as long as possible, you know you want to.

I'm lost in the fringe of things.

I'm completely lost in fringed jackets at this moment. My holiday project is to attempt to turn my long brown hooded suede coat into a cropped fringed jacket. My experience of working with suede, nil, likelihood of success, high. If i can look even half as good as my new best friend above i will be a happy camper.

Colleen Atwood. My new favourite costume designer. Worked on such wondrously visually enjoyable films as Edward scissorhands, little woman, sleepy hollow, Chicago, Lemony snickets, memoirs of a geisha and my favourite Sweeney Todd. I want this Lady's job now. The scene in Sweeney Todd when Depp and Carter are on the pier wearing the most spectacular outfits makes my heart do back flips, i just want to be on that pier and in that world, this is exactly what good costume should do to you. Colleen i take my peasants hat off to you.
